Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (R) has released a new advertisement ahead of the State of the Union address. The perspective 2024 presidential candidate criticizes President Joe Biden (D) over his withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Earlier this month, Governor Haley unveiled that she’ll be making an announcement on February 15 in Charleston, South Carolina. Since then, she has highlighted that her family has been by her side throughout major moments in her life, so this has further fueled speculation that she will be announcing her presidential candidacy.

This week, Haley continues to fuel speculation as she’s just released a new advertisement directing criticism at the Biden administration over its withdrawal from Afghanistan. The withdrawal drew scrutiny from many Republicans who argued that it led to catastrophic consequences.

The advertisement comes ahead of Biden’s State of the Union address, and it comes during a time when polls have indicated that Democrats are looking for a new candidate in 2024.

Calling it “Biden’s bitched Afghanistan withdrawal,” the former ambassador to the United Nations asserts that “American deserves better.”

“Before Joe Biden addresses America tonight, let’s revisit one of the most consequential failures of his presidency,” Haley captioned the video, which covers the effects of the controversial withdrawal.

Should Haley announce her candidacy on the 15th, she enters a race with President Donald Trump (R), and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is rumored to also be launching a campaign for the presidency. For Democrats, California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) has generated speculation, and it has only increased with rivalry with DeSantis.

Governor Haley had mentioned that she would not enter the race if President Trump decided to run again, and President Trump has not commented on Haley's candidacy. Instead, both Trump and Biden have directed criticism at DeSantis, who's risen in popularity among Republicans in recent years.
