Congressman Gus Bilirakis (R-FL) from Florida's 12th District recently launched a new campaign ad for the upcoming election cycle.

Within the video, Rep. Bilirakis touts his endorsement from Former President Donald Trump (R), using Trump’s own words for him. “Gus has been a tremendously effective lawmaker and has my complete and total endorsement!”

Also within the video, Bilirakis promises to strengthen the border and stop the “flood of illegals and drugs,” and is fighting the reckless spending from President Joe Biden (D) and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Rep. Bilirakis ends the campaign ad with a slogan saying that he is a “conservative champion for our Florida values.”

According to Ballotpedia, the only Democrat listed in the primary race for District 12 is Kimberly Walker. In 2020, Walker and Bilirakis met in the general election and Bilirakis came out on top by a total of 25.8 points (62.9%-37.1%).

Bilirakis has never won by less than double digits during election season and has become a virtual lock for Republicans in November.

Bilirakis has served District 12 since winning election in 2012 and beginning his tenure in 2013.

Since then, he has served on the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Committee on Veteran’s Affairs.
