In a time when the Joe Rogan podcast is facing criticism, one other podcast is making waves over comments made by its host. James Carville (D), a Democratic strategist and host of the Politics War Room with James Carville & Al Hunt, directed comments at unvaccinated people, saying that he wished that lawmakers would “pass a law to make you immune from liability if you punch some unvaccinated person right in the face.” Citing that he is a top Democratic donor to Florida Rep. Val Deming’s (D) senatorial bid, the Rubio campaign has released a statement, criticizing Carville and Demings.

In his podcast, Carville expressed, “if you ask me what’s my first reaction to you if you’re not vaccinated, you don’t have any medical reason not to be, you’re a piece of s***, okay? I just want to punch you in the god****ed face. That’s the way I look at these people.”

Carville is the former lead strategist of President Bill Clinton’s (D) presidential campaign, and Carville is noted as being an outspoken media personality.

In response to his comments, the Rubio campaign denounced his comments while also calling for Rep. Demings to denounce them.

In a statement, Elizabeth Gregory, the Communications Director of the Marco Rubio for Senate campaign, commented that “Val Demings has aligned herself with a divisive Democrat who is advocating violence against fellow Americans, and it is completely unacceptable.” “Demings should condemn these remarks and stop using Carville to raise money for her hyperpartisan campaign,” Gregory added.

In a press release distributed by the Rubio campaign, Carville is further described as a top supporter of Demings, having “sent dozens of solicitations on behalf of Demings.” Carville is also described as somebody that “is regularly named as someone who has faith in her candidacy in her fundraising emails and text messages.”
