2022 Midterms

Cory Mills Gains Another Congressional Endorsement

Florida's 7th Congressional District looks to be the most hotly contested race of the 2022 midterms in Florida, and now Republican candidate Cory Mills (R-FL) has added on another Congressional endorsement for his congressional campaign.

Businessman and combat veteran, Cory Mills, has come out swinging over the past few months, announcing 16 congressional endorsements and scoring the coveted American Conservative Union (ACU) endorsement.

Today Mills announced a new addition to his rap sheet of endorsements with US Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC).  Mills described Rep. Norman as a "staunch supporter of our constitutional freedoms and supports our 2A right."

In the Republican primary for the District 7 seat, Mills is competing against State Representative Anthony Sabatini (R-32), former Navy Seal Brady Duke, small business owner Erika Benfield, former police officer Jeremey Liggett, businessman Scott Sturgill, and a few others, Who also has his own list of endorsements that is not to be reckoned with.

Sabatini's candidacy has managed to gain the approval of U.S. Senator Rand Paul, U.S . Reps. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), US Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Madison Cawthorne,  and US Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

With just under a year until the general election, the final stretch for the District 7 race sees a tense future ahead.  Incumbent Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) has decided against seeking re-election in the central Florida seat.  Democrats as well as Republicans have crucial decisions to make in their primaries.

Perhaps AOC's praise of State Rep. Anna Eskamani (D-47) will be enough to push the progressive state lawmaker over the edge and pursue running for US Congress. Rep. Eskamani recently told The Floridian that she was "still processing" a potential run for Congress.
