Nikki Fried vs. Charlie Crist

Well, today is the day she has all been waiting for. Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried will be announcing her much anticipated gubernatorial campaign today in the coming hours.

We can’t tell you where she will make the announcement, but let me just say that her announcement won’t be some public event under the blazing Florida sun, ala Rep. Charlie Crist

Expect the announcement to be a very tight and controlled event that will not include singers, dancers, clapping seals, or 8 very colorful, red shoe-wearing big and wigged characters piling out of a small sedan.

Commissioner Fried has been pushing this Jun 1 announcement, so it’s anyone’s guess how well it will be received. It will make news, and that is the point.

So now the 2022 Democratic gubernatorial primary race officially kicks off with Fried squaring off against Crist in what could be one of the most epic and contentious primary races in recent history.

Speaking of primary races, would Speaker Chris Sprowls jump into a contested Republican congressional primary race to replace Crist?

Word on the street is that Speaker Sprowls could entertain a run for Congress, but until we hear back from him or his team, this is only speculation. READ MORE

THE ‘CHINA VIRUS’—'China lied and Americans Died’

Somewhere in New Jersey or Palm Beach, former President Donald Trump is saying “I told you so” as more evidence that the COVID-19 virus originated in Wuhan, China. President Joe Biden can’t ignore all of the new intel coming out and has called for intelligence operatives to reengage in finding out where the virus first surfaced. READ MORE

Rick Scott @SenRickScott-The @UNHumanRights Council is an embarrassment. They give a platform to the world’s worst human rights abusers, like Xi and Maduro, and now are siding with Hamas terrorists who want Israel wiped off the face of the earth. Truly despicable.

Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez @RepCarlos-President Biden's meeting with Putin will be a failure unless he confronts him on the Colonial Pipeline hack. Biden must hold the Russians accountable for refusing to rein in dangerous hacking groups attacking the United States.

Rep. Ted Deutch @RepTedDeutch-As a proud Jewish Member of Congress, I will always #ActAgainstAntisemitism. Antisemitic incidents have risen by 75% over the last few weeks. Violent attacks, vandalism, and hateful online posts. We must respond as a country forcefully and immediately.

Rep Frederica Wilson @RepWilson-It is my sincere hope that Gladys Sicknick can convince @SenateGOP lawmakers to do the right thing and support the #Jan6Commission. Politics aside, why wouldn't they want to know what happened, she's asked. Sadly, it's all about the politics for the GOP.

Jason Pizzo @senpizzo-Five dead, 140 officers injured, and there’s simple proposal for a 10-member/bipartisan commission, that @marcorubio and @SenRickScott won’t vote for?Florida passed a bill, without a shirtless Viking at our capitol.

Lauren Book @Book4Senate-As a survivor of sexual abuse (at the same age), & as a human being- I am horrified & disgusted. A 13 yr old was raped by her grandfather- traveled hours to get an abortion. She wouldn't have been able to under the state's new 6-week ban.
