Florida's Attorney General Ashley Moody has released a statement announcing that Florida has joined the amicus brief that presses or urges the U.S. Supreme Court to consider Texas' lawsuit against four battleground states in an effort to block their certification of the Election Day results.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), is arguing that the certifications needed to be blocked because of "supposedly improper changes to voting procedures there in the past year, purportedly different treatment of voters in Democratic-heavy areas" and for numerous instances of "voting irregularities."
The 17 states that have joined the brief are Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and West Virginia.
