In response to Hurricane Dorian’s path of destruction through the northern Bahamas, the Department of Homeland Security has ordered U.S. Customs and Border Patrol air assets to help assist in search and rescue efforts for the Bahamas.
Other CBP assets from around the country have already been staging in Florida in the days leading up to the storm.
The U.S. Coast Guard has already been on the scene in the Bahamas, and Florida’s Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1 & 2 are just waiting for authorization from the White House to deploy to the islands.
