Democratic state Senator Lauren Book is wagging her ‘I told ya so’ finger at Republican legislators after defense attorney’s for former Broward Deputy Scot Peterson filed a motion in court  to dismiss criminal charges against  their client after the Florida Senate voted that former Broward Sheriff Scott Israel was ultimately responsible for the February 14, 2018 school shooting.

Shortly after the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) arrested Scot Peterson, the ex-Marjorie Stoneman Douglass High School resource officer on 11-counts related to his ‘inaction’ during the shooting that left 17 students and teachers dead, Sen. Rick Scott (R) said he was glad to see the results of an investigation he first initiated as governor.

TALLAHASSEE --- Scot Peterson, the former Broward County school-resource officer who was forced to retire after he did not confront the gunman in last year’s Parkland school massacre, was arrested Tuesday on 11 charges related to his inaction.
