Democratic candidate for Chief Financial Officer Annette Taddeo is accusing Republican incumbent Blaise Ingoglia of favoring insurers and mishandling public money in a campaign ad released over the weekend.

Taddeo shared the 30-second ad titled "Enough" on her social media page.

It begins showing an AI-depicted Ingoglia eerily grinning while carting bags of flying cash in a hospital past distraught families. Ingoglia is then grinning in front of the cash in an office burning with a waving Florida flag.

"Blaise Ingolia, a party boss handpicked by the governor," the ad says. "He gave insurance companies a $3 billion bailout, 10 million meant for sick kids was funneled for political activity. Ingolia's corruption has gone wild, and it's costing you more."

The 10 million was in reference to the Hope Florida Foundation, in which Medicaid money was allegedly misappropriated through nonprofits to political action committees to campaign against Florida's recreational marijuana ballot initiative. A Florida judge expunged those grand jury findings last week.

Notably, Ingoglia was appointed CFO by Gov. Ron DeSantis in July 2025, after the controversy started. Taddeo also appears to jab at CFO Ingoglia's @GovGoneWild X handle.

"I'm Annette Taddeo running for chief financial officer because we've had enough. I'll lower the insurance rates crushing our families and make sure guilty politicians go to prison," the ad concludes.

The ad follows Taddeo criticizing CFO Ingoglia for allegedly using taxpayer money to fund his campaign. Taddeo also mocked Ingoglia for "acting tough" in a campaign ad in July.

Taddeo, a former Democratic State Senator, announced her CFO run in June.

Her message follows a James Madison Institute poll showing Taddeo and Ingoglia in a statistical tie. Taddeo is looking to become the first Democrat CFO since Alex Sink in 2007.

Florida has had two Republican CFOs (not counting the acting CFO) since Ingoglia's appointment.

The general election is Nov. 3.
