Dan Franzese has taken the lead in the Republican primary race for Florida’s 25th Congressional District (FL CD 25) in a surprise turn of events, according to a new poll by McLaughlin & Associates.
The self-proclaimed “problem solver” and “consensus builder” has gained significant support from Republican voters expected to participate in the concurrent Florida Primary Election, from 4% at the start of his campaign to 28% as of Aug. 2026.
In terms of favorability, Franzese has also taken the spot, additionally toppling former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer in the category.
“Franzese holds a 2:1 favorable to unfavorable ratio, 42% favorable to just 22% unfavorable,” the report shows, adding that 49% of the 300 participants in FL CD 25 have a favorable opinion of the candidate.
The Republican businessman’s chances are even higher with a potential endorsement from President Donald Trump, as his support increases from 28% to 46% among poll participants.
“With just two weeks to go until Election Day, and with early voting having already begun, Dan Franzese is on his way to locking up the Republican primary in [FL CD 25],” McLaughlin & Associates affirmed.
“Franzese has seized the momentum in the race and is raising his favorable ratings across the district,” it added.
Poll Shows Singer's Numbers Declining
Singer’s opinion rating and ballot share, on the other hand, have plummeted despite his triumph from May to June 2026.
According to the pollster, part of the reason for his collapse is due to voters’ perceptions of Singer as “two-faced,” a “liar,” and “not MAGA [Make America Great Again].”
Such perceptions have contributed to Singer’s unfavorability score increasing from 28% to 45%.
Early Voting has started in Miami-Dade County as of Aug. 3, 2026, with both Broward and Palm Beach Counties commencing Aug. 8, 2026.
