Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia announced his endorsement of Congressman and Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) by praising his conservative record, private-sector experience, and vision for Florida’s future through a press statement this week.
“Byron Donalds has a rock-solid conservative record in the Florida House and Congress, and his time in the private sector makes him well-qualified to tackle issues like affordability and the insurance market in Florida,” Ingoglia said. “I am proud to endorse Byron to be Florida’s next Governor: he will defend and advance our conservative gains and soundly defeat the radical Democrats who are trying to destroy the Sunshine State we all know and love.”
CFO Ingoglia's endorsement is the latest from Florida Republican leadership in Rep. Donalds' bid for governor. Senate President-Designate Jim Boyd (R-Bradenton) and House Speaker-Designate Sam Garrison (R-Fleming Island), along with Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier also endorsed Donalds this week.
Rep. Donalds thanked CFO Ingoglia for his endorsement.
“I’m honored to have Blaise’s endorsement and proud to have him in this fight,” Donalds said. “Together we’ll continue building an economy that works for families, protecting the freedoms that make our state exceptional, and delivering the conservative leadership Floridians expect.”
Ingoglia was appointed CFO by Gov. Ron DeSantis in July 2025. Known as the state's "conservative pitbull," Ingoglia has uncovered over $3.6 billion in excessive, wasteful spending in counties and cities across the state as part of Florida's Agency for Fiscal Oversight (FAFO).
He's also running for a full term as CFO this November.
Along with his support, Donalds has been endorsed by President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), and House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.). Donalds also has the backing of numerous Florida Republican Congressional and State leaders, a majority of Florida sheriffs, and several leadership organizations.
Donalds is in a Republican primary with Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, former Florida House Speaker Paul Renner, and businessman James Fishback.
The primary is Aug. 18.
