Congressman and Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) shared he has been endorsed by Florida Farm Bureau FarmPAC, the political action committee of the Florida Farm Bureau, through a post on social media this week.

The Florida Farm Bureau (FFB), officially known as the Florida Farm Bureau Federation, is the state's largest non-profit agricultural advocacy organization. The FFB, founded in 1941, includes farmers, ranchers, and rural communities for pro-agricultural policies, including food production and land conservation.

"I am extremely proud to earn the endorsement of the Florida Farm Bureau. From citrus groves to cattle ranches to the row crops stretching across our Heartland, farmers and ranchers are the backbone of the Florida Dream," Donalds wrote. "As Governor, I will work tirelessly to ensure that Florida’s farmers and agricultural community stay strong for generations to come."

The FFB is the latest endorsement for Rep. Donalds, which includes President Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), and several Florida congressional representatives, including U.S. Reps. Brian Mast (R-FL), John Rutherford (R-FL), Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL), Laurel Lee (R-FL), and Randy Fine (R-FL).

In addition, Rep. Donalds has been endorsed by several members of the Florida House and Senate, including Reps. Tyler Sirois (R-Merritt Island), Juan Porras (R-Miami), Alex Andrade (R-Pensacola), Jenna Persons-Mulicka (R-Naples), Fiona McFarland (R-Sarasota), and Sens. Nick DiCeglie (R-St. Petersburg), Erin Grall (R-Fort Pierce), Gayle Harrell (R-Stuart), Jonathan Martin (R-Fort Myers), and Ana Maria Rodriguez (R-Doral).

But the support is not just from lawmakers.

Donalds also has the endorsement of Miami-Dade County Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, Duval County Sheriff T.K. Waters, and Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco, and the majority of Florida sheriffs. Moreover, Donalds has been endorsed by the Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.

And if that wasn't enough, Donalds holds a large fundraising advantage for the nomination. He also has been leading in several polls in the race, including an AIF poll released earlier this month.

Donalds is in a Republican primary with Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, former Florida House Speaker Paul Renner, and businessman James Fishback.

The primary is Aug. 18.
