Florida businessman and Trump ally Joe Strada, who is running to replace the retiring Representative Daniel Webster (R-FL) in Florida's 11th Congressional District, has launched a new ad declaring Washington, D.C., to be "full of crap."

Sure, It Is, But What Else Did He Say?

In the ad, Strada says that his experience as the founder of Strada Services, a large air-conditioning, electrical, security, and plumbing company, means he can "tell you, officially, Washington is full of crap."

Strada further promises to "help President Trump deliver term limits, ban insider trading, and get criminal illegals out of here."

About Joe Strada

Strada announced his candidacy last week, making him one of several competitors in the Republican primary.

He is facing off against Carey Baker, Mike Wilnau, Tim Wilkins, and several others for the seat.

Lake County Commissioner Anthony Sabatini was another Republican seeking to replace Rep. Webster, but he withdrew after the Dhillon Law Group, which represents President Donald Trump and Never Surrender Inc., Trump's leadership PAC, came after him for implying that Sabatini had received Trump's endorsement and for using Trump's image in a campaign mailer.

Democratic competitors include Royal Webster, Dan Williams, and Shawn Bettis.

A Possible Advantage?

Strada might have a leg up on his Republican opponents because of his loyalty to Trump, and his company's multiple offices throughout the 11th Congressional District mean he is widely recognized.

"Washington already has plenty of politicians," Strada boasts on his campaign website. "What it needs are more people who have signed the front of a paycheck, built businesses, created jobs, and solved real-world problems. I'm running as a conservative outsider because the status quo isn't working for the families and businesses that keep this country moving."

Rep. Webster announced his retirement at the beginning of May, saying that "the time has come to pass the torch to the next conservative leader and spend more precious time with my wife, children, and 24 grandchildren."
