The Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) announced its endorsement of Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia for a full term as CFO this week.
“Blaise Ingoglia is exactly who Florida needs as its Chief Financial Officer,” AIF President and CEO Brewster Bevis said. “He understands that affordability starts with discipline and accountability – at every level of government. His commitment to protecting taxpayers from waste and promoting a competitive business climate will help keep Florida affordable for families, employers, and job creators alike.”
Known as "The Voice of Florida Business," the AIF has represented the principles of prosperity and free enterprise before the three branches of state government since 1920. It was also established to promote an economic environment in Florida "conducive to the growth, development, and welfare of industry and business and the people of the state."
Ingoglia thanked the AIF for their endorsement in a statement.
“Our economy thrives when Floridians keep more of their hard-earned money,” Ingoglia said. “I am honored to earn the endorsement of one of our state’s biggest advocates for Florida’s dynamic business community. AIF understands that we need fewer regulations, lower taxes, and greater opportunities for Floridians.”
The AIF's endorsement follows a string of support for Ingolia, including from Gov. DeSantis, who praised Ingolia for his commitment as CFO to fiscal responsibility, conservative leadership, and protecting state taxpayers. Ingoglia has investigated waste, fraud, and abuse in cities and counties across the state since being appointed by Gov. DeSantis as CFO last July.
Ingoglia has also been endorsed by over 70 state lawmakers, including Senate President Pro Tempore Jason Brodeur; Sens. Don Gaetz (R-Pensacola), Corey Simon (R-Tallahassee), Jennifer Bradley (R-Fleming Island), Ralph Massullo (R-Inverness); and Reps. Berny Jacques (R-Seminole), Alex Rizo (R-Hialeah), Tom Leek (R-St. Augustine), Demi Busatta (R-Coral Gables), and John Snyder (R-Stuart).
Looking ahead, Ingoglia's likely competition in the race is Rep. Kevin Steele (R-Dade City), who recently pledged a $5 million personal investment in his campaign.
The CFO election is set for Nov. 3, 2026.
