Texas Congressman Jake Ellzey (R) announced his endorsement of Florida’s 23rd Congressional District Candidate, George Moraitis (R), in a statement to the press.
“I’m proud to endorse George Moraitis for Congress in Florida’s 23rd District," Ellzey announced. "What Washington desperately needs are leaders with a strong sense of duty, honor, and commitment. As a fellow Navy veteran and U.S. Naval Academy graduate, I know George embodies these values.”
The Texas Republican vouched for Moratitis’ dedication and commitment to his community and family.
“Throughout his life, George has shown an unwavering dedication to service—whether in uniform, in public office, or in his community. As a husband, father, and businessman, he is grounded in faith, family, and a deep commitment to doing what’s right,” he expressed.
Ellzey concluded his statement by claiming that Moraitis is what South Florida needs, which is “a strong and principled voice.”
“George is the strong, principled voice South Florida needs in Washington—someone who will support our military and veterans, defend our freedoms, and stand firm against the progressive policies that threaten the foundation of our country," Ellzey commented.
This endorsement counts as the second major endorsement for Moraitis following Representative Greg Steube's (R) endorsement.
In addition to the support, Moraitis's campaign has recently been picking up steam as he was able to secure large financial backing after raising $106,000, bringing his campaign total up to $485,000.
The candidate affirms that this momentum in his campaign is proof that Florida voters are ready for a Republican leader in District 23.
“This momentum reflects the strong support our campaign is earning across South Florida,” said Moraitis in a press release. “Voters are ready for a conservative leader who will fight for taxpayers, protect our freedoms, and stand up to the big-government pushed by DC Democrats."
