In one of the least surprising headlines of the day, the Republican Party of Florida and the Democratic Party of Florida gave very different takes on President Donald Trump's first 100 days in office.

"The first 100 days were a success! Border secured, inflation down, 379,000 jobs added in first two months, historic $5 trillion committed in private sector investments, and returning education to the states by eliminating the Department of Education," the Republican Party of Florida said

Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power also celebrated the arbitrary milestone.

"Trigger warning - 100 days in, HUGE wins for America," Power said. "Can’t wait for the next 1360 days left!"

According to the Republican National Committee, here are a few of Trump's accomplishments through his first 100 days.

  • $160B in DOGE savings
  • 65,682 ICE deportations
  • 26 American hostages released

As you might expect, Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Nikki Fried gave a much different assessment.

"In just over three months, we have seen sky-high tariffs that have tanked the economy, hurt small business owners, and damaged our alliances around the world," Fried said. "The worst measles outbreak in decades, attacks on Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. And attacks on public servants, veterans, and educators with DOGE cuts that dismantle the federal workforce, VA [Veterans Affairs], and Department of Education."

If you believe in polls, Democrats might have the upper hand.

According to Fox News, President Donald Trump's job performance sits at 44% approval and 55% disapproval.

Trump's approval slips even further on the economy at 38%. Although another Fox poll gave him a 55% approval rating on border security.

Unsurprisingly, Republicans and Democrats are split on the president's job performance, with 90% happy/unhappy on each side. About three-quarters of Independents also disapprove of his job.

Other polls by news outlets give the president similar overall marks. For context, Fox polled Trump at 45% approval in the first 100 days of his first term in office.

Trump is also underwater compared to his predecessor, Joe Biden.

The former president held a 54% approval rating in his first 100 days. Biden's approval hovered in the 50s for about six months before ultimately tanking in late summer 2021 after the mishandled U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
