He's not even the Senate Minority Leader in the Florida Senate, and Senator Jason Pizzo (D) is already making strategic moves around the state, a sign that politicos around Florida believe is a move to best position himself for a gubernatorial run in 2026. Sen. Pizzo recently held a short virtual tour with current Minority Leader Lauren Book to discuss the ins and outs of the 2023 legislative session. Now, with the first full committee week taking place this week in Tallahassee, Pizzo has announced that he will be kicking off his "Campus Conversations" College and University Tour at Florida State University this week.
In total, Pizzo, whose district runs along the entire coastline in Broward County, plans to visit 12 state colleges and universities to talk to college students about the legislative process
