Three more unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been shot down over the US and Canada. With recovery of debris underway, the US issues a statement that the objects' origins are unknown. Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) isn't so sure, saying in a recent appearance on MSNBC's Politics Nation that "they know what they’re shooting at. It’s not that they don’t know they just haven’t told us."

"The American people deserve to know what it is we're shooting at," Rep. Moskowitz also says in the footage. While he does jokingly say this does not require "Randy Quaid and Bill Pullman a la Independence Day," the fact that both the US and Canada were tracking the objects for at least a day prior to shooting them means "they know what they're shooting at. It's not that they don't know, they just haven't told us," Rep. Moskowitz argues.

As such, because of the high-profile nature of the situation, "the American people need to be educated on what it is that NORAD and the US Government is doing," he continues.

Host Reverend Al Sharpton asks in response if the public should be concerned. Moskowitz answers that "I'm concerned, and people should also be concerned." He says "they have not briefed Congress on what they're doing," so he is "in the dark just as much as you are, and the American people are."

As such, Moskowitz states "at some point, the President has to come out and explain what it is NORAD is doing and why." After all, such a case cannot easily be brushed off, and people have the right to know what is going on in the US "but also Canadian soil," as Moskowitz points out. Since President Biden spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau before the shooting down of the objects, this "really raises the stakes of what's happening," Moskowitz concludes.
