The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear the state of Texas’s lawsuit to overturn the 2020 presidential race between President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden. But former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has sided with the minority of Republican voters and has dismissed his legal challenges.

“This is crazy. it will be killed on arrival,” tweeted Gov. Bush. “Why are smart people advancing this notion? Let it go. The election is over.”

There has been no love lost between President Trump and Gov. Bush. The contentious 2016 Republican primary race saw Trump dress down the “low energy” Bush, forcing him to drop out of the race.

The suit was filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton against the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Georgia. Paxton accused them of ignoring existing election laws, but the suit was dismissed by the Trump-filled Supreme Court on Friday.

But only hours after the Supreme Court’s decision, the Trump campaign filed several “emergency filings” with the court in those respective states.

When will the court address the new legal challenges or motions? It's unsure,  but considering that the date set to certify the election is this Monday, December 14, expect to hear something from the justices within the next 48 hours.
