With less than a week before the 2026 midterm elections, outside groups continue to disseminate misinformation in hopes of influencing the election night outcome. The ongoing situation in Alaska aside, a so-called "non-partisan" group based out of Tallahassee, Florida, the "Center for Voter Information," has mailed out literature that all but supports Progressive Democratic nominee Pia Dandiya over Marine Veteran and businessman Casey Askar.

The mailing, which hit doors this week, appears disingenuous and seems designed to influence uninformed voters who may not know who Dandiya or Askar are.

According to the (CVI) website, the group is a "nonprofit and nonpartisan" organization that focuses on registering voters and influencing turnout to "vote members of the New American Majority."

The "New American Majority" is an uber-progressive coalition of voters whose makeup is defined by skin color.

The president and CEO of (CVI), Tom Lopach, is a seasoned Democratic political operative based in Washington, D.C.

CVI teams up with and registers voters through Rock the Vote, the ultra-progressive organization that pushes a leftist agenda, including support for abortion rights and watering down the criminal justice system.

In addition, Rock the Vote opposes proof of citizenship to vote in the U.S. and calls the Save Act an "anti-democracy bill."

The Mailer

Three questions are asked of potential voters.

—Do the candidates support making it harder for convicted domestic abusers and people with severe mental illness to buy guns?

—Do the candidates support programs that would make it easier for Americans to start a small business?

—Do the candidates support programs that support changes to energy policy that could increase the average household energy bill by more than $100 per year?

The mailing states that Dandiya supports all three initiatives and that Askar does not.

We reached out to Casey Askar for comment regarding the mailer, and he unequivocally denounced that document as being "fake" and an "outright lie."

"While I support gun rights, I have always opposed anyone with a criminal record and a mental disorder from owning a firearm," said Askar. Askar also added that because he was once a small business owner himself, he supported any intitiatvie to help Americans obtain the American dream of owning a small business.

"I have recently stated that I will work with the SBA to help Americans get small business loans," said Askar. "This Lefist group is attacking me because their Socialist candidate is corporate lobbyist that has never signed a paycheck in her life, and they know my message of economic prosperity resonates with voters."

Askar also mentioned that he will file legislation to  slash the gas tax and double the child tax credit once elected to the House of Representatives.
