Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced his endorsement of Rep. Ryan Chamberlin (R-Belleview) for re-election to House District 24 by praising his conservative leadership through a social media post this week.

"Ryan Chamberlin is a proven conservative who puts Florida first. He is a strong advocate for public safety, small businesses, and the values that make this the best place to live, work, and raise a family," Uthmeier wrote. "I’m proud to endorse Ryan and support his continued leadership in the Florida House."

Rep. Chamberlin was elected in a special general election to HD 24 after defeating Republican write-in candidate Robert Fox with nearly 71% of the vote in 2023. Chamberlin was also re-elected after defeating Democrat Robert Shaw with over 64% of the vote in 2024.

HD 22 covers parts of Marion County, including Belleview and Ocala in Central Florida.

Rep. Chamberlin thanked Attorney General Uthmeier for his endorsement.

"Thank you @JamesUthmeier for your support and your tireless efforts in making our state an example to be proud of," Chamberlin wrote.

Attorney General Uthmeier's endorsement adds another high-profile name for Chamberlin in his bid for a third term. Chamberlin was also endorsed by Florida Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia (CFO) earlier this month.

"Honored to have the endorsement of our CFO @GovGoneWild," Chamberlin wrote.

In addition, Chamberlin was recognized for his pro-business voting by the Associated Industries of Florida in June.

Uthmeier has been Florida's attorney general since being appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2025. He is also running for a full term this November.

Attorney General Uthmeier has also endorsed several other Republican candidates, including Congressman and Florida gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R-FL) and congressional candidates Scott Singer and Kevin Steele in their respective bids.

Chamberlin is in a Republican primary with Scott Wilkins. There is no Democratic candidate currently competing in the race.

The primary is Aug. 18, with the general election on Nov. 3.
