Republican Congressional Candidate and Trump ally Casey Askar affirms that “he is stepping up to fight” for the U.S. against “new threats” in a new campaign ad titled, “Worth Fighting For.”

“America is worth fighting for. Just ask Casey Askar,” the ad asserts, highlighting the Naples Entrepreneur’s time serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.

“As Christians facing persecution, Casey’s family fled their homeland and found refuge in America, a place he would later defend as a U.S. Marine,” Askar’s Campaign ad emphasized.

According to Franchising.com, Askar’s family fled Northern Iraq, and settled in the small town of Caro in Detroit, Michigan.

Askar's Entrepreneurial Success

“Casey Askar built his ‘American Dream’ growing a business that employs thousands,” the ad emphasized.

According to Askar’s LinkedIn profile, he is the chairman and CEO of Askar Family Office, a portfolio company that specializes in franchising, commercial real estate, and construction.

Askar also founded Askar Brands, aka Askar Restaurant Group, “a world-class, multi-brand, multi-franchisee” company that operates Quick-Service Restaurants. Part of the company’s portfolio includes Church’s Chicken, Dunkin’ (Dunkin’ Donuts), Papa Romano’s Pizza, and Blackjack Pizza and Salads.

Democratic Socialists of America are "New Threats"

Showing a clip of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Askar calls the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) “new threats” to America, affirming that the country needs “new warriors in Congress standing with President Trump.”

“Casey Askar is stepping up to fight for our home again,” the ad attests.

Contested Run in Democratic Stronghold

The Naples Republican is running in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District (FL CD 22).

Askar will face several candidates in the Republican primary, including Michael Carbonara, Belinda Kesier, Michael Thompson, and others.

The primary is just the first step, as Askar must also face Congressional veteran Lois Frankel, who has held her seat in FL CD 22 since 2023, and from 2013 to 2017 before that.

The primary is Aug. 18. 2026

Shadow Group Tries To Embellish Askar

Askar continues to stay strong in his bid to topple Rep. Frankel’s seat despite facing attacks from a shadow group a couple of weeks prior.

An anonymous political website created to help opponent Belinda Keiser sought to embellish the entrepreneur, going after his postgraduate education, military service, his current run in a county at the opposite end of where he resides, and his lawsuit against Gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds after a Republican Primary loss in 2022 for CD 19.
