Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis announced her re-election to District 6 for another four-year term without opposition through a press release this week.

"I thank god for the incredible honor of serving my fellow neighbors and I am incredibly grateful for the trust and confidence that the residents have placed in me," Milian Orbis said. "While I am humbled by this support, I am even more energized about the work ahead. There is still so much to accomplish, and I remain committed to fighting for safer neighborhoods, responsible government, lower cost for families, and the high quality of life our residents deserve."

District 6 includes Miami Springs, West Miami, Hialeah, West Miami, Coral Gables, and portions of Miami. Commissioner Milan Orbis was appointed to the seat in May 2025 to replace Kevin Marino Cabrera, who was appointed U.S. ambassador to Panama by President Donald Trump in December 2024.

According to the release, Commissioner Milan Orbis has prioritized public safety, government accountability, constituent services, affordability, and protecting taxpayers since assuming office.

Milan Orbis previously served as the Vice Mayor of the City of West Miami. Her career includes over two decades in county government across various sectors, including infrastructure, housing, public safety, and economic development.

She submitted enough verified petitions to be on the ballot in September 2025.

"The thousands of residents who signed our petition to place us on the ballot sent a clear that echoed across District 6," Milian Orbis added. "Today's outcome reflects the trust our team has worked hard to earn the quality of service we are committed to delivering every single day. I am especially grateful to my team, whose tireless work, dedication, and love for this community make so much of that service possible. Together, we will continue to listen, to lead, and to deliver results for the people of District 6 and all Miami-Dade County."

Milan Orbis vowed to advocate for commonsense solutions, strong constituent services, and policies ahead of her new term.
