Florida Congressional candidate Scott Singer (R) touted his "America First" approach as the former Mayor of Boca Raton in a pitch to voters to win the District 23 election through a campaign video released this week.
"The leader of the America First Mayors' Council, Scott Singer, has championed President Trump's America First policies right here in Florida," the video claims.
The video goes on to highlight Singer's time as City Mayor by lowering taxes and standing by law enforcement to fight crime. It also notes Singer's close work with the Trump administration to get illegal immigrants off the streets, resulting in crime being down 25% during his tenure, which Singer ran from 2018 to 2026.
In addition, Singer's ad attacked New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a self-proclaimed Democratic socialist, for implementing high tax policies on business leaders, resulting in Singer wooing New Yorkers to Boca Raton with a billboard in Times Square.
"In my time as Boca Raton mayor, we lowered taxes, lowered crime rates, and achieved the lowest property tax rate of any full-service city in Florida," Singer wrote. "Our campaign offers a sharp contrast to those Democrats who lead high-tax jurisdictions that oppose common-sense policies, like the working family tax credit, that benefits taxpayers positively."
The video closes by touting Singer as the "America First Mayor building on President Trump's America First agenda."
Notably, President Trump has not endorsed in District 23, which covers parts of Broward County and southern Palm Beach County, including Boca Raton.
Singer is in a Republican primary with George Moraitis, Darlene Cerezo Swaffer, Raven Harrison, Joe Kaufman, Rafeal Ortiz, and Jared Gurfein for the nomination on Aug. 18, 2026.
The primary winner will likely face Democrat Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), who has held the seat since 2023. Democratic Socialist Oliver Larkin is challenging Rep. Moskowitz for the Democratic nomination.
The general election will be held on November 3, 2026.
