Florida gubernatorial candidate Paul Renner (R) is kicking off a statewide “Affordability Now Tour” to address the rising affordability crisis affecting everyday Floridians, his gubernatorial campaign announced today.

According to the Renner Campaign, the roundtable-style tour will focus on relevant "kitchen table" issues affecting Florida households, including property tax reform, rising utility bills, persistent insurance premiums, and increasing healthcare and living costs.

Renner will also speak to business owners, homeowners, and others at each stop while offering his own policy solutions to help "restore financial stability and put Floridians first" at each stop of the tour.

"Floridians are working harder than ever, but falling further behind, and the Legislature has failed to take bold action on the affordability crisis facing our state," Renner said in a statement. "It’s time to listen to the people and discuss real solutions that will lower costs and make Florida more affordable for everyone."

The "Affordability Now Tour" includes the following locations:

  • Miami - April 8th
  • Tampa - April 9th
  • Crawfordville - April 13th
  • Orlando - April 14th
  • Jacksonville - April 15th
  • Pensacola - April 17th

Exact locations will be announced accordingly.

Renner's affordability tour follows a recent Public Opinion Research Lab poll showing affordability/cost of living as the lead issue for Floridians. The issue was also the top choice across party lines.

Political division/polarization and immigration were a distant second and third, respectively.

Renner, the former Florida House Speaker, is in a Republican primary with U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, and businessman James Fishback.

The primary is Aug. 18, 2026.
