The Paul Renner for Governor campaign recently announced it raised nearly $1 million in the first quarter of 2026 for Paul Renner (R) in his bid to become Florida's 47th governor in November.
The new haul brings Renner's fundraising total to just under $6.5 million.
"The response across the state has been overwhelming - we are winning straw polls, converting and mobilizing grassroots leaders, and laying out the most comprehensive policy proposals of any candidate. Thank you to the donors and volunteers for the investments they are making in our campaign," Renner said in a statement.
According to the campaign, Renner's fundraising has come from grassroots supporters, business leaders, and conservatives recognizing the former Florida House Speaker's record of "leadership, fiscal responsibility, and commitment to the Free State of Florida brand."
"Paul Renner has now raised the resources necessary to go the distance and give voters a chance to maintain the kind of gubernatorial leadership they've come to expect under Governor DeSantis," said Brett Doster, Renner for Governor Senior Advisor. “Paul Renner has the proven record and core values Florida can trust.”
Renner highlighted his leadership in the State Legislature through an advertisement released last month.
Since announcing his bid for governor in September 2025, Renner has discussed several policy positions, including on property taxes, insurance costs, and energy prices, in an exclusive interview with The Floridan earlier this year.
Moreover, Renner unveiled a statewide “Affordability Now Tour” last week to address the rising affordability crisis facing Floridians. The tour is expected to be in Crawfordville, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Pensacola this week.
In addition, Renner announced he would promote a federal ban on Muslim immigration to the United States if elected governor.
Renner is in a race with U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, and businessman James Fishback for the Republican nomination.
Florida's primary election will be held on August 18.
