The Republican Party of Florida formally endorsed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Blaise Ingoglia for a full term by praising his work as the state's top fiscal watchdog since his tenure began.
"The Republican Party of Florida is proud to stand with a true conservative fighter! We wholeheartedly endorse Blaise Ingoglia for Chief Financial Officer of Florida," the RPOF announced in a social media post this week. "As a proven leader, former RPOF Chairman, and unwavering advocate for fiscal responsibility, taxpayer protection, and conservative values, Blaise Ingoglia is exactly who Florida needs to keep our state strong, safe, and prosperous."
CFO Ingoglia thanked the Florida GOP for its endorsement.
"From my days as a local party Chairman to my time leading the @FloridaGOP and helping deliver huge wins for @realDonaldTrump and @GovRonDeSantis, I've seen firsthand that our strength comes from the grassroots activists who drive success in every corner of the Sunshine State," Ingoglia wrote. "I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of the Republican Party of Florida and the grassroots patriots from across the great state of Florida!"
The GOP's endorsement follows support from Gov. Ron DeSantis, who praised Ingolia for his commitment as CFO to fiscal responsibility, conservative leadership, and protecting state taxpayers back in December.
Ingoglia has also been endorsed by over 70 state lawmakers, including Senate President Pro Tempore Jason Brodeur (R-Lake Mary), Sens. Don Gaetz (R-Pensacola), Tom Leek (R-St. Augustine), Jennifer Bradley (R-Fleming Island), and Reps. Demi Busatta (R-Coral Gables), Mike Redondo (R-Miami), and John Snyder (R-Stuart).
Ingoglia has held the CFO position since the governor appointed him in July 2025. Since assuming the role, Ingoglia has uncovered $2.08 billion in excessive and wasteful spending in the General Fund Budget over the past two fiscal years across 16 counties and municipalities in the state, including a whopping $59 million in Flagler County just last week.
With the party, the governor, and several state lawmakers behind him, Ingoglia arguably has a clear path to winning the CFO election this fall. In addition, Ingoglia's likely competition, Rep. Kevin Steele (R-Dade City), dropped out of the race in February.
Other candidates include "Shark Tank" entrepreneur John Smith, but Smith has largely been quiet in the race.
Ingoglia served as chairman of the Florida GOP from 2015 to 2019. He also served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2014 to 2022 and the Florida Senate from 2022 to 2025.
