President Donald Trump is heading to Hebron, Kentucky, in an effort to address economic concerns regarding the current U.S. conflict with Iran and to promote Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-Ky.) current opponent for the 2026 Kentucky Republican Primary amid the midterm elections.

President Trump visited Cincinnati, Ohio, to tour the pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Thermo Fisher Scientific’s facility. He took the opportunity to push his administration’s efforts to lower drug prescription prices, an effort to show the administration’s attempts to tackle affordability issues for many Americans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections in November.

President Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at the Verst Logistics Facility, a logistics packing facility, in Hebron at 4:30 PM E.T.

The president and candidate Ed Gallerin are expected to appear together at the facility. He has endorsed Gallerin, a former Navy SEAL, farmer, and entrepreneur, in the Kentucky Republican Primary against Rep. Massie.

Rep. Massie is an avid critic of President Trump, opposing the U.S.’s military operation in Venezuela that led to the capture of deposed Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, and the tax and spending cut bill passed by Congress in July 2025.

Rep. Massie is also a leading sponsor of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bipartisan effort that pushes for the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) release of files related to sex trafficking investigations into convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, President Trump called out Rep. Massie, calling him "the WORST Republican Congressman in the long and fabled history of the United States." “They are all misfits and losers, but Massie, who is running against a great American Patriot in the Kentucky Primary, will hopefully lose BIG,” he added.

Over the weekend, Rep. Massie shared his dissent for President Trump’s actions in Iran, stating that they are not “America First” and blaming the president’s role in the conflict as the cause for gas prices’ recent increase.
