BOCA RATON— Florida Congressman and gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds (R) held a listening session with Jewish leaders and activists at the Chabad of Central Boca Raton, where he affirmed his support for Israel and the Jewish faith, and addressed local, state, and federal concerns, particularly the rise of antisemitism in the country. Rep. Donalds also spoke about his concern over the support for the implementation of Sharia Law by a growing number of practicing Muslims.

Joining Rep. Donalds was none other than the "Hebrew Hammer" himself, Rep. Randy Fine, who made a case about how Islamists wanted to co-opt American society with Sharia.

There has been a disturbing rise in anti-Israel and anti-Jewish rhetoric coming from fringe white nationalist influencers who believe that Israel is the Great Satan to America.

When asked if he would do as Governor Ron DeSantis did when he first took office and visit Israel and the Western Wall, Rep. Donalds said that he would be traveling to Israel as governor of Florida, adding that he had "already visited the Western Wall once, adding," I definitely see that happening again.

Donalds said that a state trip to Israel would be similar to the trip Gov. DeSantis took, in that it would be mutually beneficial to Israel and the state of Florida.

"I think it's important for us to be clear that this is going to be about mutual economic benefit for Florida and for Israel," said Donalds."That's going to be important for the people of Florida, the future of our state. It's also with respect to American foreign policy. Israel is our ally in the region, and so having those relationships as well is very beneficial to the United States, beneficial to Florida.

Sharia Law

With Sharia-supporting real estate ventures creating so-called Epic cities around the country, cities that appear to solely welcome individuals of the Muslim faith, Donalds expressed his concern over the creation of "these enclaves of Sharia within the United States."

"I have no interest in Florida or the United States, at large, looking like Western Europe and what's happened with the move of Sharia into those countries," Donalds said, adding," It's not been good for Western Europe, it would not be good for America

Donalds added, "Look, Sharia law is incompatible with our constitution and with Western civilization. Full Stop. I think on that premise, there can't be any compromise."

"If you are Muslim in the United States and you're a practicing Muslim, that's very different than moving Sharia; those are two different things, and I think there just has to be a boundary line on Sharia law. Sharia cannot coexist with the fabric of the state of Florida or the fabric of America," Donalds concluded.

In speaking to Rep. Fines, the outspoken lawmaker believes that antisemitism lives within "people that aren't happy with their lives," and that "Jews are an easy target." Rep. Fine also believes that "the rise of mainstream Islam" is the  real existential threat to the future of our country."
