Rep. Meg Weinberger (R-Palm Beach) is calling for justice after a dog was beheaded and left on the side of Florida's turnpike in Miami-Dade County this week.

"This was a brutal, intentional act of violence," Weinberger told The Floridian. "A dog was mutilated and left on Florida's turnpike, and whoever did this must be found and held accountable. Florida will not turn a blind eye to this kind of cruelty.

Rep. Weinberger later posted a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. According to a report, the dog had been deceased for several days.

"Help bring the monster who did this to JUSTICE," Weinberger said.

If you have any information, please reach out to the Miami-Dade Police Department at 305-743-7433.
