The Miami-Dade Republican Party announced this week that it raised $203,000 in the fourth quarter of 2025, its highest fundraising quarter in a non-election year in the party's history, according to a party release.

"This milestone is about more than just dollars raised -- it's about confidence in our mission, momentum, and leadership," Miami-Dade GOP Chairman Kevin Cooper said. "We are making smart, strategic investments now to ensure Republican victories across Miami-Dade in 2026. This record quarter proves that our supporters believe in the direction we're headed and are all-in on winning."

According to the release, the Miami-Dade GOP finished the fourth quarter with $117,000 cash on hand after its record-setting accumulation, which it used in a "deliberate, long-term strategy" to expand the party's base in Miami-Dade County.

The strategy included investments in typical blue strongholds of Miami and Miami Beach in an effort to deliver victories in the November 2026 midterms. Notably, the city of Miami elected its first Democratic mayor in nearly 30 years, Eileen Higgins, a trend the Miami-Dade GOP is trying to avoid later this year.

To accomplish that, the Miami-Dade GOP indicated it has focused on "building sustainable infrastructure, supporting local candidates, and preparing early for the general election." The GOP also said the strategy proves Chairman Cooper's commitment to building a "robust" financial war chest as it looks to maintain, and in some cases expand, control in Florida's most populous county.

"This record fundraising quarter shows discipline, growth, and serious preparation. Miami-Dade Republicans are building real momentum. Under this party's leadership, we are focused on winning elections and delivering results in 2026," said Party State Committeeman Juan Porras, who also represents Miami in the State House of Representatives.

Last year, Miami-Dade County flipped from red to blue in active voter registrations. According to the latest statistics from the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections, the GOP holds a 41,590 registration edge over Democrats in the county.
