Journalist and activist Laura Loomer is alleging that a tragic shooting in Kissimmee was an act of jihadist terrorism, claiming that Fox News's coverage of the attack is obscuring the motive by calling it "senseless."
As Fox News described, a man named Ahmad Jihad Bojeh shot and killed three men staying in a rental home next door to his house on Saturday.
"It was cold-blooded, it was premeditated, there was [sic] absolutely no issues," Osceola County Sheriff Christopher Blackmon told the press. "There was no conflict between these people. This was just random. And this happened to be the person who lived next door."
Loomer, however, is not convinced.
In a post to X, she noted that the Fox News article did not include Bojeh's middle name of Jihad in its subtitle, which she reminds followers is defined as warfare against non-Muslims.
"As you can see below, Fox News is trying to cover this up by taking out the shooter's middle name, and they even referred to this Muslim man as a 'Florida man. I highly doubt he is a Florida man," she argued on social media.
However, Bojeh's full name, including the middle name, appears in the body of the text.
Nevertheless, Loomer noted that the description of the shooting by police as "random" is unlikely, emphasizing that previous isolated Islamist attacks were initially written off as "random."
"Aren't all acts of Islamic terrorism 'random attacks'? Nobody actually wakes up and expects to be murdered by a Muslim terrorist living next door," she continued. "Once again, Islamic terrorism is being covered up in Florida."
In a follow-up post, Loomer posted the Osceola County database entry on Bojeh, which lists his race as "white."
"So now 3 violent murders, which should be classified as terrorism, are now attributed to being committed by a White man when Ahmad Jihad Bojeh is very clearly a Brown Muslim man," Loomer concluded.
