Florida gas prices have been plummeting by double digits recently, with some areas reporting prices as low as $2.52 per gallon.

But even after a recent surge, prices have since fallen to under $3.00 across Florida for regular-grade gasoline.

Florida Senator Rick Scott (R) fully attributed the falling gas prices to President Donald Trump, simply saying thanks.

“Thanks to @POTUS, Florida families are seeing gas prices plunge,” the senator shared on X.

Prices in Miami have seen a 14¢ price cut from just a month ago and a 36¢ price cut from a year ago, with the average gas price in the U.S. falling 43¢ from $3.10 down to $2.67.

Many claim that U.S. operations within Venezuela are responsible for the drastic price cuts, as U.S.-based oil refiners are able to obtain Venezuelan crude oil for much cheaper compared to U.S.-drilled crude oil.

“Having more Venezuelan crude available is nothing but upside for U.S. refineries,” Rick Weyen, a retired oil company executive, said in an interview with the New York Times.

If more cheap oil were to find its way to the United States, American consumers are likely to benefit from less expensive fuel, particularly diesel and jet fuel. Any further decline in prices may be more modest, though, as Venezuela only produces about 1% of the world’s oil.

“While the situation in Venezuela has dominated headlines, it’s far too early for any measurable impact on what consumers are paying at the pump— whether prices go up or down — as it would likely take years to see a meaningful increase in oil output there. For now, gas prices remain seasonally lower, but with oil prices inching higher, the national average could soon see some limited upward movement,” Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in an article with the Miami Herald.

According to AAA, gas prices for regular-grade gasoline in Florida are:

Miami-Dade: $2.74
