TALLAHASSEE— After coming clean of her personal and advisory relationship with gubernatorial candidate James Fishback,  Christina Pushaw is expected to keep her job according to a source close to the Executive Office.

“We don’t know what to do with her,” said the source.

Pushaw,  who is close to  the DeSantis family, fell on her sword to protect Governor Ron DeSantis, First Lady Casey DeSantis, and the 5 or so other staffers in the EOG that were also allegedly involved in propping up Fishback in order to try to take a pound of political flesh out of Trump-endorsed Rep. Byron Donalds, who is considered the frontrunner in the 2026 Republican gubernatorial primary sweepstakes.

Word on Adams Street is that there is a lot of blocking and tackling going on in the EOG.Why wouldn’t there be?

Too many people know of what really transpired between Fishback and  The Pushaw Puppets, and the fear in the Capitol is that all of the dirty laundry could be aired, and could implicate key figures within the administration.

Fishback himself has also been quiet, a move that could signal that he may not continue to divulge communications between himself and members of the administration, namely Pushaw, in a possible attempt leverage his position.

Fishback has already released text messages between him and Pushaw, so it is fair to speculate that there is probably more, juicier texts that could open up Pandora’s box for Team DeSantis.

The source also added that doesn’t expect anyone to be fired, adding that you may see of lateral movements by some of the EOG staff to other state agencies.

If this happens, don’t expect the usual press release or social media announcement of the departures, if they occur.

This story is developing, so throw another bag of Extra Butter Pop Secret into the microwave and stand by…
