During an appearance on Fox News' Faulkner Focus, Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) blasted House Democrats as "performative" ahead of the vote on the new continuing resolution (CR) that could end the government shutdown.

Host Harris Faulkner noted that House Democrats "have expressed such hate" for their eight Senate counterparts that voted in favor of the new CR with the Senate Republicans, asking how they will act on the floor.

"I do find it a little ironic as I walked through the Capitol today that the people who are screaming that folks have been out of vacation for weeks and weeks and weeks have newspapers stacked in front of their offices dating back to the adjournment and when we passed the clean CR out of the House," Rep. Cammack responded, adding that "it is a lot of theatrics happening up here; very performative."

She suggested that "the one thing that we know to be true is that the radical left, the very progressive radical left, has always been about dependency and control, and that is growing the size of the government so that they can make Americans dependent on the programs, and then they can stay in control."

The Florida Congresswoman further called the Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare") "a classic example of this," arguing that the program perpetuates the "sick-care system that we have in this country." Thus, she expects the House proceedings to be intense, but she is "looking forward to the fight" because "Republicans are on the offense, which is a nice change."

When questioned if any Democrats are willing to compromise and reform, Cammack shared that there are a vanishing few.

"If you talk to them," Cammack detailed, "they talk as though they want real reform, but their leadership is never going to allow it."
