The Paul Renner for Governor campaign announced it has raised $3.7 million in just 35 days for its candidate, Paul Renner, in his Florida gubernatorial bid. Renner, the state's former Republican Speaker of the House, filed to run for governor just last month.

"Paul Renner's unprecedented $3.7 million haul in just 35 days sends a clear message: Floridians trust him to carry forward the legacy of freedom and prosperity that has defined the Free State of Florida," Campaign Chief Brett Doster said in a statement. "With plenty of runway ahead. Paul Renner is the proven conservative leader ready conservative leader ready to unite Republicans and always put Florida First."

According to a release from the campaign, Renner will report over $3 million for the quarter ending Sept. 30.

More specifically, the Renner campaign credited his surging popularity in Florida for the impressive cash haul since his recent announcement. They also attributed the funds to Renner's ability to galvanize support among Floridians, adding that the figures solidify the GOP hopeful's ability to "build a top-tier campaign team and amplify his proven conservative message to every corner of the Sunshine State."

Facing off against Congressman Byron Donalds (R-FL), the campaign called Renner the "true conservative" in the race. Highlighting that narrative, Rep. Donalds was endorsed by President Donald Trump in February.

Donalds has also raised an impressive amount of money himself in his bid.

"The race for governor is just beginning, and Renner's record of principled governance and proven results make him the only true conservative in the race who can protect and advance the Florida we know and love," the campaign said.

While competing for the same job, Renner indicated he had a “Good relationship” with Donalds in an interview with The Floridian back in September

Could that change if the race heats up?

The GOP gubernatorial primary election is Aug. 18, 2026. The general election is on Nov. 3, 2026.
