Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that ServiceNow, a global leader in secure data technology, is set to break ground on a new regional headquarters and innovation hub in West Palm Beach.
"This is going to be something that is really significant in terms of the jobs that are going to be here. These are all really, really good jobs," DeSantis said at a news conference. "It's going to have a huge economic impact for the local community."
According to the governor, ServiceNow will become one of Palm Beach County's largest employers with more than 850 new jobs. He also noted that the average starting pay will be a hefty $170,000 and bring a capital investment of over $50 million to the area.
In addition, DeSantis noted the educational impact of bringing the company to West Palm Beach during the news conference.
"They're providing this great service for folks to be able to go and get educated on these cutting-edge technologies," DeSantis explained. "And that's something that, you know, we'll probably be sending people that work in state government down to be able to go through these, and so, this is a really great day."
During the news conference, DeSantis thanked real estate businessman Stephen Ross for helping ServiceNow establish its new 200,000-square-foot office in a tower developed by Ross's real estate firm, Related Ross.
"There is no better advocate for the future of West Palm Beach, the prospects for Palm Beach County than Stephen Ross," DeSantis said. I mean, he is an unbelievable and very passionate believer in, yes, the state of Florida, of course, but particularly the opportunities that this community and the larger Palm Beach County community has but in front of it."
According to a recent report, Palm Beach County, home to West Palm Beach, is home to a significant number of high-level earners from New York.
