A group of more than forty Tampa Bay area elected officials is getting behind Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia for a full term as Florida's CFO in 2026. Known as Florida's "conservative pitbull," Ingoglia announced a full run for the post just days ago.

"Floridians are demanding action to make Florida more affordable; they need relief to help make ends meet. I’ve worked tirelessly for tax relief and deregulation, immigration reform, election integrity, public safety, and for law enforcement and first responders,” Ingoglia said in a press release. “I am grateful to receive the endorsement from many of Tampa Bay’s finest today, and I will not let Floridians down in my fearless approach to holding insurers accountable, cutting property taxes, and ridding government of waste, fraud, and abuse.”

Among those supporting Ingoglia are Congressman Gus Bilirakis, who said, “I am proud to endorse Blaise Ingoglia for Florida CFO!  Since day 1— Blaise has been a conservative fighter standing with President Donald Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis against the corrupt establishment and the corporate media. I am proud to be on Team Blaise, a candidate with bold vision and unwavering principles.”

Sen. Ed Hooper (R-Clearwater) also expressed his support for Ingoglia.

“Florida taxpayers deserve someone who will fight for them every day. Blaise Ingoglia has done that in the legislature, is doing it as appointed Chief Financial Officer, and will continue doing it once elected," Hooper said. "He has my endorsement to continue preserving and protecting our state’s financial resources as CFO

Other Florida lawmakers backing Ingoglia include Sens. Nick DiCeglie (R-Indian Rocks Beach) and Ed Hooper (R-Clearwater), as well as Reps. Berny Jacques (R-Seminole), James Buchanan (R-Osprey), Fiona McFarland (R-Sarasota), JJ Grow (R-Inverness), Michael Owen (R-Apollo Beach), and more.

Ingoglia, a strong fighter against illegal immigration, is also being supported by several law enforcement officials, including Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister.

“In the Legislature, Blaise was fearless in his support of law enforcement. As Florida’s Chief Financial Officer, he continues to support our law enforcement community and all first responders in their efforts to keep us all safe. I am proud to endorse him,” Chronister said.

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco added, "I am proud to endorse Blaise Ingoglia for CFO. Blaise has been a strong supporter of law enforcement and first responders throughout his career. He is also a strong defender of our hardworking taxpayers, and I look forward to his work ensuring tax dollars are spent efficiently and effectively.”
