Rep. Meg Weinberger (R-Palm Beach Gardens) has endorsed Republican candidate Yoni Anijar in his bid for House District 100, calling Anijar the fighter the Broward County district needs.

"Yoni Anijar is the America First conservative we can trust to champion common sense and stand up against the radical left's insanity," Weinberger shared on social media. "I'm proud to endorse a true patriot who will deliver for Floridians. Let's send Yoni to Tallahassee!"

Anijar, a lawyer and U.S. Army Reserve captain, is seeking to replace Rep. Chip LaMarca (R-Lighthouse Point) in Tallahassee next fall. Rep. LaMarca is not eligible for reelection due to term limits.

He identifies himself as a supporter of President Trump's America First agenda, which is one of his key issues. In addition, Anijar supports securing the border and stopping illegal immigration, protecting communities from overdevelopment, eliminating property taxes, reducing the cost of insurance, defending the unborn, and preserving the Second Amendment.

Rep. Weinberger is also a strong supporter of President Trump's agenda, earning the nickname "MAGA Meg" in political circles.

If recent history is a good indication, Anijar has a good chance of winning the HD 100 seat. LaMarca beat Democrat Brenner by 15 points in 2024.

“Rep. Chip LaMarca has solidified a winning strategy in keeping a Broward County seat red,” Yoni recently said. “In the Florida House, I want to honor that legacy of service and continue building on the work he’s done on behalf of the people of District 100.”

Anijar is also pacing his challengers in campaign financing as of July.

In addition to his run, Anijar is the Vice President of Broward Young Republicans. He was also actively involved in helping LaMarca win his reelection bid.

A Jewish American, Anijar graduated from the University of Florida and received his law degree from George Washington University Law School. He later began his legal career in New York City.
