During an appearance on the Benny Johnson Show, Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) discussed her bill to designate Antifa as a terrorist organization in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's assassination.
Johnson posted the clip to X, announcing that Luna would introduce the bill against Antifa "and impose capital punishment for its crimes."

"I have legislation that would currently ban Antifa or categorize Antifa as a terrorist organization," Rep. Luna shared in the interview, adding, "this is specifically a leftist ideology that has been calling people like us, Nazis, fascists, everything else in between." "They reject Christianity; they reject the concept of nationalism. They think that if you want a family, that you're too trad [sic] and somehow anti-feminist, they oppress people, use minorities for their own causes to fundraise."
Rep. Luna further characterizes Antifa as a "hate movement," noting that, "there needs to be massive punitive action against these people. There needs to be capital punishment, zero tolerance for people that are committing acts of murder and violence against people based on their civil liberties, the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. But more importantly, people need to get involved."
The Florida Congresswoman introduced the legislation in June amidst the riots targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents throughout Los Angeles, which prompted President Donald Trump to send in the National Guard to protect federal facilities from the rioters.
"Peaceful protest is one thing. Masked violence and coordinated terror campaigns are un-American," Luna previously shared on X.
Similarly, Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) called for investigations into the organizations that supposedly orchestrated the riots, saying, "We are learning that this is not really organic, that this is highly coordinated, and that there is money behind this." "Some of it is federal grant money or California state grant money, and even that has gone to these organizations. They have turned around and used it to create this actual rioting. There is no protesting anymore. This is absolutely rioting," he warned.
