Florida Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins (R-FL) discussed the arrest of Harjinder Singh, an illegal alien truck driver, in a recent appearance on Fox News while further blasting California, where Singh obtained his commercial driver's license, as a "blue state idiocracy."

Host Martha MacCallum began noting that another illegal alien driver had recently been arrested, asking Lt. Gov Collins if he had a message for other drivers driving with licenses issued in blue states.

"Don't do it," Lt. Gov. Collins answered bluntly, "Do not do it. Do not put people at risk. If you cannot read the signs, you cannot follow the law. You are putting people's lives at risk. It is unacceptable."

MacCallum asked the Lieutenant Governor what he knew about a federally required English-language test for commercial truck drivers, which he said was 16 questions long. Yet, Singh only answered three of the questions correctly.

"The fact is, if you cannot read those signs, you cannot understand the language. How are you going to drive safely and understand what is going on around you?" Collins asked aloud, adding, "It is incredibly risky to have this multiple thousands of pounds vehicle laden with equipment, gear, whatever the case is, driving around. There is a huge risk. What if that were petroleum fuel, something really flammable, and that was the case? It gets quantifiably worse step by step."

However, a petition demanding leniency for Singh has gained nearly 3 million signatures online, which the Lieutenant Governor called "absolutely infuriating."

"He [Singh] illegally entered in 2018, he put people's lives at risk," Collins continued, "Does not understand the language, does not understand the signs, and we think because of his ethnicity, he is not supposed to have accountability? That is not how this works. It is ridiculous. You know, of course, he fled back to California. We know Gavin Newsom does not care about this, does not take it seriously. It is an illegal immigration idiocracy in California, and it is failing America. It puts people's lives at risk, and there will be nothing like that here in Florida. He [Singh] is going to pay the price, do his time, and go back to where he came from."
