Republican Venice Mayor Nick Pachota, who's running for House District 74, announced he's ahead in campaign fundraising over his HD 74 opponents on Wednesday.
According to a release from Pachota, the GOP hopeful has raised $61,935 in his campaign account and $53,501 in Friends of Nick Pachota, a political committee chaired by the candidate.
Overall, Pachota has raised $115,436 since opening his campaign account in January.
“I’m grateful for the many friends, neighbors, relatives, and colleagues who are willing to put their good names next to mine on this shared mission of bringing conservative values and local perspective to the State House,” Pachota said in a release of the second-quarter fundraising report. “With their support, I will continue to work daily, building on our positive momentum and sharing my conservative vision for the future of our community with the voters of District 74.”
Specifically, Pachota noted donations from many small businesses to his campaign, including physicians, restaurant owners, nurses, insurance agencies, attorneys, landscapers, and first responders.
He has also received support from Venice officials, including Vice Mayor Jim Boldt, Councilmembers Rachel Frank and Kevin Engelke, former Councilmembers Rich Cautero and Helen Moore, and former Mayor John Holic.
