Gov. Ron DeSantis: Florida leads the nation in aerospace, aviation, defense, transportation, and logistics. Today at the Florida Activation event in Paris, we built on that momentum by ceremonially signing two important bills to position our state for continued industry dominance:
SB 1516 establishes the International Aerospace Innovation Fund, which will leverage private investment and international collaboration to attract even more air and space industries to our state. Administered by Space Florida, this fund will serve as a catalyst to accelerate additional global aerospace research, commercialization, and workforce development in Florida.
SB 1662 makes enhancements to Florida’s transportation infrastructure, like protecting prime space-launch real estate on our coast and commencing the construction of public vertiports and other Advanced Air Mobility options to bring Floridians even more opportunities for quick and efficient travel.
The Florida Delegation’s activation event had a great showing, and hundreds turned out to support our mission of bringing more jobs and investment to Florida.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz: Your homeowner’s insurance keeps skyrocketing so the CEO can pocket an obscene salary.
And as always, Republicans do nothing to stop it.
