BUDAPEST— The center of the conservative universe descended on Budapest, Hungary, as the highly anticipated 2025 CPAC Hungary event kicked off with CPAC Hungary Chairman Miklós Szánthó , America Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and followed up by a short video address from President Donald Trump.
Interestingly enough, the event opened up with both the national anthems of Hungary and the United States being sung.
President Trump praised Schlapp and Szánthó for their work at their respective organization, and Prime Minister Orban, saying,” He’s a great man, very very special person.”

“All over the world, they are respected as an organization. They have conservative values, Conservative values are very good values. They want strong borders, they want law and order,” said President Trump of the global CPAC brand Schlapp has cultivated over the years.
“I’ll see you soon,” concluded President Trump.
Schlapp, who is sporting a new Ted Cruz-style beard, spoke to The Floridian Publisher Javier Manjarres about the event, saying that Hungary was the place “where globalism goes to die,” adding that CPAC was “all over the globe fighting globalism.”
Schlapp also said that CPAC Hungary was the first CPAC he did outside of the U.S., outlining that DC conservative insiders question the expansion to Hungary when he first considered expanding the brand overseas.
