Senator Ashley Moody's (R-FL) campaign has raised $1.6 million in six weeks since launching her campaign to defend her seat in the upper chamber. Sen. Moody was not elected but was appointed by Governor
Ron DeSantis (R-FL) once President Donald
Trump (R) selected former Senator
Marco Rubio (R-FL) to be his Secretary of State.
Sen. Moody served as Florida's Attorney General before arriving on Capitol Hill. She will likely have to fend off Republican challengers in the 2026 primary election cycle, but she has already received prominent endorsements — such as Senator
Rick Scott's — and, of course, fundraising.
"Since taking office, I have been traveling around the state to share my Florida First message and continue earning support for my campaign to return to the U.S. Senate," said Sen. Moody. "We are just getting started, and I am so grateful for the overwhelming support we have received in just a short amount of time."
Moreover, Moody described the campaign's immediate progress as a "massive success," mentioning the endorsements she's received as well.
"Together, we will make Florida safer and stronger, and I will continue my fight for the conservative principles that make this country great. From launching the campaign, to receiving the endorsements of respected leaders throughout the state, and building out my team, this quarter was a massive success," said Moody. "I am looking forward to continuing this fight on behalf of the millions of people who call Florida home."
Tony Fabrizio, a veteran GOP pollster said, "As a Floridian, I'm honored to work for Ashley Moody – a tough as nails conservative – who is deeply committed to advancing President
Trump's agenda to Make America Great Again."
In late March, Sen. Scott shared that Moody is "battle tested" with a conservative record to go with it.https://twitter.com/ScottforFlorida/status/1905598229460181201
"Today, I'm excited to officially announce my endorsement of my good friend and fellow Floridian, Senator Ashley Moody. She's a strong leader who's already bringing her battle-tested, conservative record to the U.S. Senate," said Sen. Scott. "I'm a grandfather, and Ashley's a mom. We're both working hard every single day to leave this place better than how we found it so that you and your family can live your American dream. And that is why we're working together to get President Trump's agenda through the D.C. Swamp. We want safer and stronger communities that thrive for generations to come. "
The senior Florida senator concluded by invoking one of his own slogans before saying that he is "proud" to give the nod to Moody.
"Ashley is making Washington work for Florida, and I'm proud to endorse her," said Scott.
