Representative Kat Cammack (R-FL) said that reforming the judiciary was "long overdue" in a recent appearance on Fox Business's Bottom Line. Multiple judges have issued injunctions against President Donald Trump's policies.
Rep. Cammack posted the clip to X (formerly Twitter), where she posted, "The Left hates what President Trump is doing in giving the American people a voice in what happens in their government. The President is well within his authority to ensure our students can learn, achieve, and thrive," referencing the latest legal action against Trump's measures to dismantle the Department of Education (DOE).

Host Dagen McDowell noted that 64 federal injunctions were issued against Trump in his first term alone, double those against Presidents George Bush, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden combined.
Rep. Cammack noted the absurdity, saying that "it is judicial lawfare" before saying that "it was not until 1911 that there was any significant work done through Congress when it came to the judiciary," referencing the Judicial Code that revised and unified existing laws while eliminating the old circuit court system.
"This is long overdue," Rep. Cammack continued, comparing it to the increasing powers Congress has given to the Presidency by saying, "and you have seen this in our Article I powers that we have given to the executive just through quite frankly laziness, this overreaching bureaucracy that has really cost us $2 trillion a year, and that is in the form of rules, regulations, and now the crazy administrative state that is the fourth branch of government."
As a result, the Florida Congresswoman pointed out that "nobody talks about Article III, where Congress has a constitutional right to oversight, and we have done nothing like this, like I said, since 1911, in order to hold these courts accountable."
Cammack concluded by calling out Democrats for criticizing Trump for anything he or his administration does, "but they had absolutely nothing to say when Biden was trampling all over the Constitution."
"He was doing things that they said, 'Oh, he is absolutely within his rights to do, but now they are dead silent. And that is not to say the President [Trump] is not acting within his authority; he is, but it is just the fact that the left hates what the President is doing because he is returning power back to the people, and the left is all about dependency and control," Cammack concluded.
