DeSantis Comes out Swinging, Defends Trump Against the Biased Media
With the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary race in his rearview mirror, Gov Ron DeSantis came out swinging against the biased media. "America's Governor' defends the President-elect Trump.
When asked if it was "inappropriate" to criticize California Governor Gavin Newsom on just about everything he addresses the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires, Gov. Ron DeSantis tore into a news reporter and the overall media corps for favoring Democrats over Republicans on just about any issues.
Gov. DeSantis also made the same comparison with City of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, whom DeSantis served with during his years in the U.S. Congress.
Mayor Bass is a very progressive Democrat.
Here is the exchange:
UNKNOWN REPORTER: Is it inappropriate to be criticizing (Newsom)?
DESANTIS: It's INAPPROPRIATE for people in YOUR industry to try and create division, and to try and create narratives any time these things happen. Now, you're NOT as interested in doing that because Newsom is a 'D.'
If Newsom was a Republican, you guys would go try to - you would have him NAILED TO THE WALL for what they're doing over there.
You guys sitting in judgement of Donald Trump - excuse me, I think your track record of politicizing these things is very, very bad."
The governors [would say] - just know, [in] a natural disaster - media's coming at you. It's not the same. If that mayor of LA were a Republican - I can only IMAGINE what [you] would do.
Jimmy Patronis-It’s Law Enforcement Appreciation Day!

Jay Collins-The imprisonment of @MariaCorinaYA by the Maduro regime is a blatant attack on freedom and democracy. This injustice must be condemned immediately.
Maria, the Free State of Florida will always stand with the people of Venezuela, and I’m glad to see @realDonaldTrump has already spoken out against this travesty.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz-My thoughts are with the all Californians impacted by wildfires. The destruction is so staggering, with so many heroic efforts from first responders.
