Florida Republicans Flipped Six Biden Counties Red for Trump
Florida voters flipped six previous Biden counties red for President-elect Donald Trump on election night, including the traditionally blue counties of Hillsborough and Pinellas.
The other counties were Osceola, Seminole, and Duval. Florida Republicans attribute most of these flips to Trump's massive success with Hispanic voters in cities like Hialeah, the second-largest in Miami-Dade County (which went red for a presidential candidate for the first time in over 30 years).
"I was in Miami-Dade on Election Day and visited many precincts where the support for President Trump and all Republican candidates down ballot was loud and clear,â said Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power in a Wednesday afternoon statement.
"Florida Democrats completely collapsed yesterday in their efforts to gain a political foothold in our state,â said Power.
