A breaking Wall Street Journal (WSJ) poll predicts former President Donald Trump will return to the White House come November.
The poll, conducted 12 days before election day, found President Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris 45 to 47%.
The WSJ poll surveyed 1,500 registered voters across the nation and revealed voters prioritized issues such as the economy, immigration, and abortion.
Voters also demonstrated increased proclivity to Trump’s policies while in office while demeaning Vice President Harris’ current performance.
Trump, according to the poll, scored a 52% approval rating while Harris was 10 points behind at 42%.
While Trump’s lead is within the margin of error, the WSJ poll adds to recent reports alleging Trump has caught up and overtaken Harris’ alleged previous polling lead.
National polls depict a tight race, with Harris and Trump essentially tied.
Amongst swing states, the presidential race is nearly dead-even.
However, Democrats have been warily observing state-specific polls which, if accurate, would hand Trump an electoral college victory.
As we approach the final weeks of the presidential campaign, Trump and Harris are expected to centralize campaign efforts in cities and areas with undecided voters whose support could unlock the doors to the White House.
Trump has been reportedly rising in popularity amongst populations traditionally associated with the Democrat party, such as black men and other minorities.
A recent Florida poll, for example, depicts Trump as having the support of 20% of African American Florida voters.
Trump’s rise amongst minorities has captured media headlines, as polling suggests he’s made gains from previous races.
