Former President Donald Trump has promised to end Russia’s war against Ukraine in an unprecedented meeting with Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky.

During a meeting to discuss potential avenues to end the war, President Trump emphatically expressed his desire to broker peace between Russia and Ukraine.

Trump blamed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for permitting the war, which he claimed he would end if elected.

“Just had a great meeting with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. If I’m elected President, the war with Russia and Ukraine will end quickly,” said Trump. “If not, that war will never end, and will phase into WORLD WAR III. Comrade Harris will NEVER BE ABLE TO END THE WAR, and hasn’t.”

Trump added during an interview with Zelensky that, although the war “is a complicated puzzle” that “should have never happened,” he would see to it that the conflict is “solved.”

Trump and Zelensky’s meeting followed the latter’s meetings with President Biden and Vice President Harris.

Harris stated her “support for the people of Ukraine is unwavering,” adding that she will continue working with Zelensky “to ensure Ukraine prevails in this war.”

Zelensky’s visit was criticized by some conservatives, as the former attended a Democrat event in Pennsylvania, a crucial swing state in the upcoming presidential election.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) called Zelensky “a moron” and “arrogant” for attending the Democrat event.

Conservatives have long questioned Democrat’s strategy for US aid in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Among conservative concerns are insufficient military and financial contributions from Europe and other Ukraine allies.

According to the Kiel Institute, the US has granted Ukraine nearly 75% of the total financial support European nations have.

On a country-specific basis, the US’s military and financial Ukraine aid significantly exceeds all other nations.

To date, the US has granted over $75 billion in military and financial aid to Ukraine.
